Light fitting I never liked seeing the light bulb when I looked up from my bed and had tried a number of fittings that were never quite right. This old square tablecloth, which is really too small for any table and too nice to allow anything to spill on works perfectly when attached by its four corners to the metal frame of an old lamp shade. I only noticed it had little hearts on it when I lay down underneath it - an added bonus! |

Wall hanging I love hanging different cloth pictures (one previous was an Indian table cloth depicting elephants) behind our bed. Now we have this top layer from a quilt cover I chose as one of our wedding presents. The quilt itself was threadbare and torn so it was great to save the part I loved with the wall colour coming through the broderie anglaise. Cotton everywhere softens the room. |
