Yellow Chair Old furniture can be retreasured using fabrics found in bargain baskets with end of rolls. This is a yellow version of the red fabric on the couch behind it, both found in the bargain bucket at KA, Blackrock. This chair is being fitted with the fabric using a staple gun, while the cushion cover will be machine sewn. |

Red Couch This old couch (previously in my Grandparents house) has been retreasured with fabric from the bargain bucket in KA, Blackrock. Another excellent shop specialising in end of rolls is http://www.murphysheehy.com. This is a loose removable cover so you need to allow for shrinkage in washing when judging the size of fabric. |

Blue Chair Another chair from my grandparents in a style and colour I saw recently in an Irish interiors magazine. However, I covered this about 12 years ago with pieces from the Brown Thomas bargain basket - does it even still exist? Square styles like this are much easier to make than the winged red couch. |

Crocheted Cushion Use up leftover bits of wool that are too small to do much with by making striped cushion covers. This one was inspired by our IKEA rug! The reverse has just two colours with old buttons used to close it. Not into knitting or crochet but have Mum's or Granny's wool at home, send it to me to make you bespoke cosy unique cushions. Bargain Basket Cushions These cushion covers are very easy to make, once you have enough fabric to cover about 2.5 times the length of the cushion. I made 4 cushions from a couple of leftover pieces found in a top department store's bargain basket. Contact me for basic directions or a quotation to have some made. |

Yellow Chair is finished Finally finished my first case of upholstering (i.e. a non-removable cover). The original cushion for this chair was destroyed, so I cut the foam filling of another arm-chair (one beyond saving, that made it out of here to a skip!) to fit this one. |
